About Us:-
Since its founding in 2017, Prometheum has leveraged its deep expertise in securities law, blockchain and trading to create a compliant ecosystem for digital asset securities that will enable all investors to seamlessly invest in digital assets securities. Prometheum has relied on its strong diverse team to build the tools to service digital asset securities. To date, Prometheum has built multiple broker-dealers traversing novel areas and a large technology stack (intersecting trading, blockchain, compliance, etc.). Role:-
CFO – Full Time W2
Location:-
New York
Salary:-
$300,000 – $400,000
Responsibilities:-
- Oversees the Finance & Accounting department, budget preparation, and creates forecasts predicting future growth.
- Directs the preparation of financial statements, including income statements, balance sheets and tax returns.
- Oversee the day-to-day operations including risk management, reconciliations, and month-end reporting.
- Partners with compliance, legal and technology to ensure that all operational processes and procedures meet or exceed regulatory requirements.
- Develops and identifies operational efficiencies, systems, controls, procedures for improvement.
- Assists with responses to FINRA and SEC requests.
- The CFO actively engages with staff at all levels, establishing and supporting the necessary systems for responsible fiscal management, and information technology oversight.
- Oversee and actively participate in the management of financial resources, including accounting, finance, tax, organization-wide budgets, and treasury in accordance with generally accepted accounting principles and the organizations policies and procedures
- Monitor business performance with tracking tools, establish corrective measures as needed and prepare detailed reports for the management team, investors, and other company stakeholders.
- Determine annual operating, capital and departmental budgets and work with all parties to maintain throughout the year.
- Research revenue opportunities, analyze internal operations, and identify areas for cost reduction and process enhancement.
- Manage cash flow to ensure compatibility with operations and oversee all day-to-day accounting, recording, and reporting.
- Monitor national and local compliance regulations to ensure regulatory documents are filed
- All other projects, initiatives, activities as per business need
Qualifications:-
- Minimum 10 years of broker-dealer operations experience, including experience with digital asset securities.
- In-depth understanding of the financial services industry including financial technology, operational processing, custody and regulatory requirements.
- Demonstrated leadership ability along with a history of promoting process improvements.
- CPA with strong knowledge of Gaap.
- Sharp analytical skills including the ability to synthesize quantitative and qualitative data for decision making.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Experience with contract negotiation, audits, strategic planning, and budgeting
- High degree of initiative, creativity, and problem-solving ability
- Flexibility to adapt to changing circumstances and to reassess plans in the face of new information
